Downtown experienced a white out when future brides descended upon the annual
Vero Beach Bridal Show & Tour.
The event kicked off on Saturday with a wedding venue VIP bus tour. It
visited the Vero Beach Museum of Art, Bent Pine Golf Club, Up the Creek Farms,
Oak Harbor, Cielo Blue Barn, Vero Beach Hotel & Spa and the Hampton Inn.
About 100 brides and their entourages of grooms, mothers and bridesmaids
visited 50 vendors during the Sunday Expo at the Vero Beach Community Center,
Courthouse Executive Center and Heritage Center.
Professionals who provide everything needed for that "perfect" day shared
their products and expertise, from catering to flowers and photography to
limousines.
Attendees got into wedding mode while sipping champagne, and sampling horse
d'oeuvres and wedding cakes.
When things got to be a little too much for the grooms, they were able to
sneak off to the Grooms Lounge at the Grove. The focus there was beer, sports
and cigars.
The afternoon closed with a bridal show at the Heritage Center. Models
strutted their stuff down the lantern-lit aisle in wedding dress shop london from Isabella's Bridal Company. Cardita Formal Wear brought down the
house with options for the groom as the models demonstrated a few moves of their
own.
Stephanie Santana Ortiz was the winner of the grand prize valued at more than
$3,000. She walked away with a $1000 vintage wedding dresses uk credit from Isabella's Bridal Co.; two round trip tickets from Vero Beach
to Newark on Elite Airways; a one night stay at Costa d' Este Beach Resort &
Spa; an engagement session from Vitalic Photo; bridal hair and make-up by Ali
Womack and Maria Sommers; a stationery suite, including invitations, from
Idlewild Co.; a boudoir photo session from Nichole Marie Boudoir; and a
Brazilian wax from Justin Salon.
Now all she needs is a groom.
In addition to getting brides ready for their big day, the event raised an
estimated $20,000 to help with the preservation of the Heritage Center. The
event was such a big hit, vendors are already signing up for next year's Bridal
Show.
